MIXED MEDIA CAMP June 23-27 a.m. & p.m.

Experimenting with mixed and multi-media in art using paint, colored pencil, collage, clay, cut paper, glue, glitter and more. These projects are both 2 and 3 dimensional.

PORTRAITS CAMP June 30-July 3 a.m. & p.m.

This unique 4 day camp emphasizes one of several strengths in the Masterworks program. People and animals will be the subjects in paint, pencil, chalk, clay and more.
ILLUSTRATION CAMP July 7-11 a.m. & p.m

Combining writing and art, this camp reflects the interest of many students of art. Working with published works and our own, we will use drawing, painting and collage to enhance the writing.
PAINTING CAMP July 14-18 a.m. & p.m.

This camp allows children to creatively express themselves in acrylic, watercolor, tempera and ink. With a balance of guided and independent projects, kids cover portraits, landscapes, Still Lifes and cultural art.
IMPRESSIONISTS CAMP July 21-25 a.m. only

This is an “en plein air” painting camp. Children will learn about the Impressionists while painting from nature. We are outside, around the studio, for most of this class
MOSAICS CAMP July 21-25 p.m. only

Hands-On historical mosaic class. Children explore several mosaic techniques through various projects. Offered in conjunction with B-Tiled Mosaic Studio.
FASHION DRAWING CAMP July 28-Aug. 1 a.m. & p.m.

Collage, fabric, paint, pastels, pencil and more. An all-time favorite summer art camp at Masterworks, these projects are geared to teach the children Fashion Illustration and Design skills.

Summer Art Camps 2008

Masterworks is pleased to offer six exciting weeks of half-day art camps for Summer 2008. Each week students will be introduced to a unique topic or medium and will explore these topics via a series of fine art projects. A wide range of art material and subject matter will be covered. At the end of the week, each child will proudly present a portfolio of his or her own artwork.
In order to ensure/facilitate one-on-one instruction within a nurturing and focused environment, class sizes will be limited to 12 students. The program cost includes all materials and snacks. Daily recess allows for renewed focus between projects and features games enjoyed by students year-to-year.
