Saturday Art Classes

Individually themed Saturday classes are designed for students to attend on a class by class basis. Families have the option to register for a “series” of Saturdays, or choose specific dates.
These classes engage the MASTERWORKS ideal of teaching children Fine Art skills, although occasionally, a Saturday class is more crafty. There is limited overlap between the Saturday themed classes and the year ‘round program.

These individual classes encourage the children to explore a variety of mediums such as pencil, charcoal, paint, chalk pastels, clay, cut paper, and collage in a guided setting.
Through wonderful subject matter, students learn the fundamentals of Still Life’s, Landscapes and Portraits. Some of the Saturday classes also echo themes explored more completely in the Summer Camp program. For instance, “Masquerade Note Cards” are based on a project that may be done in the Fashion Illustration Summer Camp.

The Saturdays are scheduled in three sessions; Fall, Winter and Spring, and children of all ages attend on a first come first serve basis.
